Parenting Coordination is an alternative dispute resolution process in which a trained professional, known as a Parenting Coordinator, assists co-parents to implement their parenting plan, make timely decisions in accordance with the children’s needs, and resolve conflicts regarding their children’s care outside of court.

Parenting Coordination is specifically designed for parents experiencing high levels of conflict; it differs from other services by focusing on mediation and conflict resolution directly related to parenting issues. Unlike general counseling or therapy, Parenting Coordination provides hands-on, practical guidance and makes use of authority granted by the courts to help enforce parenting plans, if necessary.

Parents who are separated, divorcing, or already divorced and find themselves in continual conflict over their children's care can benefit from Parenting Coordination.
